Pic #1. The block is mounted on an angle of 20-45 degrees and will hold the engine guard 3/8 - 1/2" off the pavement if your bike falls. The pegs move out and down and give a cruiser riding position with feet ahead of knees. The greater the mounting angle, the more the peg moves out.

Model KA moves to about 6" from the pavement (on GL1800), lean is limited to about 30 degrees, and provides a straight leg position for 32" inseam.

Model KD moves to about 8" from the pavement (on GL1800), lean is limited to about 40 degrees, and provides a straight leg position for 29" inseam.

Model KL moves to about 9" from the pavement (on GL1800), lean is limited to about 45 degrees, and provides a straight leg position for 27" inseam.

When not used - it's tucked away

These three additional models give three positions, starting with Model KA which gives the most stretch, but least lean when down.
